Rooted in the Scriptures
I created Godly Matters to share my observations, study notes, and class material that may help Bible students. However, I believe that God’s Word is completely sufficient to teach, encourage, and guide our daily walk with Christ (2 Timothy 3:16–17).
My mission is simple: present the ancient truths of Scripture clearly, practically, and faithfully to Christians, teachers, and seekers. Any errors are my own.
About Rhodes Davis
Most of my working life has been in technology business administration and executive management, and most of that working for Teksouth Corporation. I have preached full-time for about 10 years and supported myself preaching for a number of years beyond that. Even when not regularly preaching, like now, I am active with the local church, teaching Bible classes, involved in the worship service, and trying to be like Christ in my service.
My wife Cindie and I have been married for over thirty years, and we have worked together in various business ventures and have directed many summer camps. We have six adult children, two of whom were adopted, and now enjoy the expanding family with their spouses and grandchildren.
My biggest joy is my relationship with God, reflecting on the wisdom He has preserved for us, trying to reflect the glory of Jesus in my life, and doing the kingdom work while God gives me life. The material on this site largely reflects this desire to be effective in serving God and others. I hope you find it useful in your spiritual journey.
