Synopsis: In this lesson, we read of the interaction between Elisha and the people of the land and even foreigners. God cared for others through the work of Elisha. In this story, God rewards a foreign woman for helping Elisha. The great miracles of Elijah were similar to the miracles of Moses and Jesus.

  1. How did God take care of a widow of one of the prophets? Was it by the grace of God? Did she still have to do something?

  2. Who showed hospitality to Elisha in Shunem? What things did she do to show hospitality to him? What did Elisha do for her?

  3. What good things were said about Naaman? What was his problem?

  4. What was the initial reaction of the king of Israel? Why do you think he reacts this way? Why does Elisha tell him to let Naaman come?

  5. Did Elisha come out to see Naaman? What was Naaman expecting? What made him obey?

  6. What happened to Gehazi? Why?
