Synopsis: After the death of Jotham, his son Ahaz began to rule in Judah. He was a wicked king who introduced many abominable idolatrous practices and even shut up the doors of the temple. God brought enemies against him, but he still would not repent. Note that in this lesson we see an increase in the involvement of Assyria into the affairs of Palestine.
