Scripture Text: 2 Kings 25:22-30; Jeremiah 52:28-34, 40:5-41:3; Lamentations

Synopsis: Jeremiah wrote the book of Lamentations after the destruction of Jerusalem. He could only weep at the destruction that came upon her as prophesied for hundreds of years. Judah would not repent so the city was destroyed and the people were made captives of Babylon. The proud city was humbled. Yet even in the destruction, there was hope. Hope in the restoration promised by God.
