Scripture Text: 1 Kings 19-20
Estimated Date: 874 – 853 B.C.

Synopsis: After the great victory at Mount Carmel, Elijah became a man on the run. Jezebel was not impressed with God’s show of power and sought to kill Elijah. God took care of Elijah, yet he becomes distraught and desires to die. God gives him comfort that there are many that still serve God and He sends Elijah out to anoint his replacement. Ahab, meanwhile, has to fight against the Syrians.

  7. How were the armies of the Israelites and Syrians compared in the second battle? What was the result? What happened to Ahab as he returned from the battle?
