Estimated Date: Uncertain but probably 835 – 796 B.C.

Synopsis: The prophet Joel was sent to Judah to urge them to return to Him. They were suffering physically for their spiritual negligence, yet God wanted them to return. Even in their dismal situation there was hope for a more glorious kingdom in the future. This lesson will help us understand why Joel is sometimes called the “Prophet of Pentecost.”
