Scripture Text: Amos
Estimated Date: 793-753 B.C.

Synopsis: Amos was a shepherd who was called by God to be a prophet. As a shepherd brings erring sheep back into the fold from the danger of the wild, God sent Amos to bring Israel back to Him and to avoid the destruction that awaited them for disobedience. He is also sent to warn the nations of God’s punishment that would come upon them for their wickedness.
