Lesson Overview

Scripture Text: Jeremiah 1-12
Estimated Date: 640 – 586 B.C.

Synopsis: Jeremiah is often called the weeping prophet because of the great sorrow he has for Judah and the destruction of Jerusalem. Unlike the earlier prophets, he would see the destruction of Jerusalem and the people being taken into captivity. He warned the people of God, often in very symbolic ways, of the destruction that would come upon them for their wickedness.
