Estimated Date: 640 – 586 B.C.Synopsis: Jeremiah continued to proclaim the word of God to the people, but it was a message of surrender. Their only hope would be to give themselves over to the Babylonians peacefully and serve the forty years of captivity for the punishment for their sins. They would not go peacefully, however, and brought great destruction on themselves.
