The introduction to the book of Proverbs is in the form of a father preparing his son for life. He urges him to pursue wisdom and to let it guide his life. He warns him of the dangers of immoral women, laziness, wick- ed friends, and foolish choices. The father’s warnings should ring in the ears of our children today.
