  1. Does the book of Proverbs advocate child abuse? Explain.

  2. According to Proverbs, what is the purpose of corporal punishment? What is the destiny of the unpunished, or poorly punished, child?

  3. What is meant by a contentious wife? To what is she compared? How could a husband fit into this category?

  4. Why is a good wife considered a gift from the Lord? How should that affect the husband’s attitude?
