In the conclusion of the book of Ecclesiastes, the Preacher determines that there is but one thing that gives life meaning and that is service to God. The pleasures of life will not completely satisfy, but man will find completeness in God. Yet for all his wisdom, Solomon would not dedicate himself wholly to God.
